County Oak

About Us

Our history

County Oak FactoryOver 25 years ago, David Salisbury joined the social services as a residential social worker caring for people with mental disorders. It was during this time that he developed an interest in carpentry as this was used as a part of the rehabilitation process to help some of the service users. Once operating out of a workshop in David's back garden (and it's still there!), the business moved to a small village in Somerset. Having outgrown that estate, a custom built factory was built in Highbridge around the time of the millennium and extended some five years after that to house new equipment such as a state-of-the-art paint plant and robotic loading CNC machines. In 2011, David Salisbury Joinery Limited acquired County Oak.

Our difference

The County Oak DifferenceYour County Oak design will be exclusive to you and manufactured specifically for your home. It begins with an experienced designer visiting your home to explore ideas and concepts with you. From this consultation they will produce a design that should reflect your requirements.

There may be a number of revisions during the consultation process but we have extensive experience regarding the challenges that creating an oak building presents. We know how to produce both a beautiful and practical design that will add character to your home, as well as a new room to live. We are focused on delivering customer service excellence, characterised by technical and manufacturing innovation and a product of exceptional quality and beauty that you can be proud of.
